While currently it is mainly raining in most areas of Germany, in Austria it is currently, dry, but that will change within the next few days. Only in far NE Germany it is currently snowing, except for some exposed mountain peaks in central Germany or the “Erzgebirge”.

This forecast will mainly address weather threats and unusual or changing weather conditions.

Thursday, in the late evening severe rainfall will occur in SW Germany. Then, Friday, snow will gradually begin to move into the western states of Austria, but there will still not be so much new snow; very light to only light snow is to be expected. Later on Friday, the snow will intensify in E Tyrol, then there will be moderate snow in those regions.
