The Jnauary is recorded to be one of the greyest ever. At the end the statistics show: It was the January with the least sun since 20 years!

On the 20.1. ice rain stops all the life in Germany. In Frankfurt even the trams cannot drive for several days!
Febuary turns to the actual snow month.
Whoever wants sun in Febuary, has to climb up on mountains, low level clouds block it elsewhere.
The March has nothing to do with spring at all. Several cold- and snow records get set to new heights
But the sun can come out again.
Even in April it is still very cold. The nature is several weeks behind. Not even leaves are on the trees yet!
The may is the second wettest month since 1881.
Only in the E of Germany, where MILKs weather stations are located it was nicer.
In June horrible flooding strikes S and E Germany. It is reported in the news world wide.
After the middle of June a short heat wave strikes, bringing peak temperatures of over 35°C.
But the heat comes to a sudden end when thunderstorms strike.

Then, to the surprise of many, in July the real summer begins. It is one of the best summers since many years.
The July ends up reaching 38°C and being the driest since 30 years.
The strong heat was followed by severe thunderstorms at the beginning of August.
During August it stayed quite wet in S Germany, but it was very sunny in the N.
The September was nice at first, but then cold and rainy weather happened to take over for the next 2 weeks.
